TA vendor email blasts no longer have just "one life to live".
On TA's Best Phone Vendors blog, TA vendor email blasts now have a second life after they've been blasted once individually to TA's 3,500 members and then included again in TA's Weekly Business Phone Deals newsletter that goes out every Tuesday morning.
Go to www.BestPhoneVendors.com to see recent TA vendor e-blasts that have been posted as blog posts.
If you don't click on an individual blog title all you see is the "blog blast" headline, the main graphic image of the TA vendor blast hyperlinked to the landing page of the vendor's choice and then a hyperlink under the image inviting the blog visitor to see "more information" about the vendor and their blog blast.
TA published this blog blast from the email blast each vendor submits.
Following are our blog blast guidelines if you want to get involved in how you blog blast looks:
1. Title - We use the email blast title prefaced with the vendor name.
2. Image - We reduce the image to 570 pixels so it shows complete in the blog window.
3. Image Landing Page - We can only hyperlink the image to one landing page. We pick the most obvious landing page if one is not specifically provided.
4. More Info - "Under the fold" (after the "more info" hyperlink that goes under the image TA types out the main information that appears in the image. While it may seem repetitious it's important to type out any obvious searchable keywords so the Internet search engines can find the information.
5. Other Standard Info - After the keyword text typeout that's specific to the blasted image, TA puts any other standard information that would be appropriate for any future vendor blog blast posts like: message summary, contact information, "About Vendor" (summary of other solutions offered), awards received, links to previous messages, etc. Please work with TA's administrator Kathleen Brown to come up with a standard section here that she can keep on file and easily cut & past.
6. Metatag Keywords - To drive search engine traffic to the blog post (and then to the vendor), TA types out all the obvious keywords into the metatag of the blog webpage (which you can not easily see but he search engines can). We include any proper noun names and any products and solutions included in the text of the blog. When composing your blog please make sure the keywords you want are actually included in the text of your message if you want us then to include them in the metatag.
You don't really need to worry about any of this unless you want to as TA will do it all for you. We simply publish this info here for your edification in case you want to get involved in how your blog blast post looks.
Why is this important?
TA is slowly migrating all it's content to be archived on these cutting edge blogs and off our older websites to maximize the visibility your content gets in front of our TA audience, the Internet at large, all the search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.) as well as all the social media properties including LinkedIn, Facebook & Twitter.
As you can see, by publishing your content through Telecom Association's publications we're doing quite a bit of your search engine and social media marketing for you at no extra cost!
