In 1996, TA began our vendor member directory to put TA members in touch with telecom vendors that seemed to embrace the telecom agent and channel sales partner program. In 2005, TA launched our first Annual "Members Choice" Awards program to give TA members a chance to vote on which vendors they like best in multiple categories.
In 2010, TA launched our "Accredited Vendor" program to take our vendor rating past simple popularity and to really kick the tires and look under the hood to see if there were any serious reasons that TA members or their end user customers should be concerned about one TA vendor or another.
The Accredited Vendor process is not all that pleasant (mostly for TA). To become an accredited vendor in a specific TA vendor category, the majority of TA members voting and commenting on the "worthiness" of the vendor must state that the vendor performs above average in the specific category.
Unfortunately for the accredited vendor candidate, the TA members that want to vote the most are the ones that have a grudge against the vendor. (Every vendor that's been around any length of time and has a sizable customer base is bound to have many agents who are less than totally "happy campers").
TA's job is to wade through all the accreditation votes and comments and determine if the vendor does have any serious "character flaws" and/or "secret weapons for agent success". After a month we pronounce the vendor accredited if they've met the mark and create an "Accreditation Report" that stays mostly confidential unless a serious agent has a "need to know". (The report is mostly a list of all the agents that love or hate the vendor and why.)
So now BulleEye Telecom steps forward to claim they are worthy of Accredited Vendor status in two categories - Multi-Location POTs Consolidation and Nationwide CLEC.
Are they worthy? Do you have personal knowledge as to how well BullsEye performs in these two categories? If so, would you please vote now?
Becoming accredited has it's rewards. Accredited Vendors appear above other vendors in any TA vendor directory category in order or their accreditation longevity. They also get to display the "Accredited Vendor" badge.
