If I was a younger man I'd start a new association just for "Hosted VoIP" so I could develop a complete "Hosted VoIP Yellow Pages" to learn how to categorize and sub-divide the 1,001 "players" that all want to say, "Need hosted VoIP for your customer? We're perfect!"
How can every hosted VoIP provider be perfect for every hosted VoIP customer prospect?
Well I'm not that young anymore (I'll be 50 on my next birthday) but I do feel a strong need to have TA develop a "Hosted VoIP Yellow Pages" of some sort to bring order to chaos. Following are the initial sub-categories or "yellow page" headings I'm coming up with.
If you sell or provide hosted VoIP, please add comments below. Once we have a sensible list we'll incorporate it into TA's vendor directory.
Proposed Hosted VoIP Sub-Categories
1. Division by seat size: "Very Small" (1-20 seats), "Small" (21-199 seats), "Medium" (200 -499 seats) & "Enterprise" (500+ seats)
2. BYOB or MPLS: Can customers use their own bandwidth?
3. Broadsoft or not Broadsoft?
4. Provider, reseller, master agent or consultant?
